MyJobPocket / MyFieldBooks, operating under the trade names MyJobPocket (myjobpocket.com) and MyFieldBooks (myfieldbooks.com) (collectively, "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect Personal Data when you visit our websites, create an account, or use our field service management platform (collectively, the "Service"). It also explains your rights regarding that data and how to contact us with questions or requests.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Our platform is used by contractors and field service business operators ("Account Owners") to manage their clients and job records. Those clients — the individuals and businesses whose information is stored by an Account Owner through the Service — are "End Users."
We process End User data on behalf of Account Owners as a service provider. If you are an End User, your data is controlled by the Account Owner who entered it into the platform, not by us. Any questions or privacy rights requests regarding your data should be directed to the Account Owner.
This Privacy Policy applies to visits to our marketing websites at myjobpocket.com and myfieldbooks.com, use of the application platform at app.myjobpocket.com, and communications with us by email or support ticket.
"Personal Data" means any information that, on its own or in combination with other information, can identify a specific individual.
"Customer Data" means all data, content, and information submitted by you or your Authorized Users through the Service, including client records, job details, estimates, invoices, and communications.
"Usage Data" means information automatically collected about how you interact with the Service, including page visits, features used, session duration, IP address, device type, and browser type.
When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, business or DBA name, and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash).
Depending on your Subscription Plan, we may also collect:
This information is collected to verify your eligibility for certain subscription tiers.
When you use the Service to manage your business, you submit data about your clients and work, which may include client names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses; job details, descriptions, status, and notes; estimates, invoices, line items, and pricing; payment records and transaction amounts; photos and attachments associated with jobs or clients; and scheduling and calendar information.
We do not collect or store your credit card number or other full payment instrument details. All payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We receive only non-sensitive transaction metadata such as the transaction ID, amount, date, and subscription status returned by Stripe.
We collect the following data each time you log in: IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, timestamp of login, and brand (MyJobPocket or MyFieldBooks). This data is stored in a login history log retained for ninety (90) days and is used for security, fraud detection, and compliance purposes.
If you use features that involve location services — including crew dispatch tracking available on applicable subscription plans — the Service may collect your device's GPS location while those features are active. Location tracking is active only while a crew member is clocked in to a job and stops automatically upon clock-out. Location data is retained for 24 hours and then automatically deleted.
If you use the SMS messaging features of the Service (available on applicable subscription plans), we collect your business phone number (provisioned through Twilio), the content of messages sent and received, and opt-in and opt-out records for message recipients.
We automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including pages and features visited, actions taken within the platform, session duration and frequency, device and browser information, and IP address and approximate location derived from IP.
We collect Personal Data directly from you when you register or use the Service, automatically when you use the Service, and from third-party services when you connect integrations (for example, through Stripe for billing). We do not purchase Personal Data from data brokers.
We use the Personal Data we collect to provide and operate the Service (create and manage your account, process billing, store and display your Customer Data, send transactional emails via Resend, deliver SMS messages via Twilio), to improve the Service (analyze usage, fix bugs, develop new features), for security and fraud prevention (detect suspicious login activity, identify fraudulent use, maintain compliance records), to communicate with you (respond to support requests, send product updates), and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your Personal Data. We share Personal Data only with service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the Service, including Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email delivery), Twilio (SMS messaging), Vercel (hosting and content delivery), and Google Maps (mapping and route optimization). These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
We may also disclose Personal Data to government agencies, law enforcement, or courts when required by applicable law or valid legal process.
We use strictly necessary cookies (required for the Service to function), functional cookies (enable enhanced features and personalization), and analytics cookies (help us understand how the Service is used in aggregate, de-identified form). We do not use advertising or targeting cookies and do not serve third-party advertisements on the Service.
You may control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in.
We retain your Personal Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account and Customer Data is retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion. Login history is auto-purged after 90 days. Payment transaction metadata is retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance. GPS/location session data is auto-purged after 24 hours. When your account is deleted, your data is removed from active systems within 30 days.
All data transmitted between your devices and our platform is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. Data at rest is encrypted by our hosting and database infrastructure providers. Passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes. Every login to the Service is logged with IP address, browser, device, and timestamp for security monitoring. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc., which is PCI-DSS certified.
Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability, please contact us immediately at blackroadz.dev@gmail.com. Do not publicly disclose security vulnerabilities before contacting us.
The Service is intended for use by adults conducting legitimate business operations. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a minor, we will delete that information promptly.
You may access and update most of your Personal Data directly within your account settings. You may request deletion of your account and associated Personal Data at any time by contacting us at blackroadz.dev@gmail.com. All marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. You may export your Customer Data through the export tools available within your account.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, right to delete, right to correct, right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell your data), and the right to non-discrimination. To submit a CCPA rights request, contact us at blackroadz.dev@gmail.com with the subject line "California Privacy Rights Request."
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address on file at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
